Baseball Recap: Caesar Rodney Triumphs

After losing to Woodbridge the last time they met, Caesar Rodney decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Riders came out on top against the Raiders by a score of 6-2 on Thursday.

James Suhrbier tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched.

At the plate, Teegan Monroney was excellent, going 1-for-4 with one home run and three RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Colby Rall, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Caesar Rodney was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .379. That's the best batting average they've posted all season.

The win got Caesar Rodney back to even at 2-2-1. As for Woodbridge, their defeat ended a four-game streak of away wins dating back to last season and brought them to 3-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Caesar Rodney will venture away from home to challenge Polytech at 4:15 p.m. on Thursday. As for Woodbridge, they will head out to face off against Glasgow at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
