Football Game Preview: Gowanda/Pine Valley Central vs. Maple Grove

On Friday Maple Grove take on Gowanda/Pine Valley Central at 7:00 PM. Maple Grove don't have the home-field advantage, but they do enjoy an advantage in the MaxPreps rankings.

Maple Grove were the big favorite in their most recent match, and for good reason. They took their match against Cattaraugus-Little Valley on Monday by a conclusive 54-24 score. Followers of Maple Grove probably expected little less of the squad in a season in which they have collected three blowout victories.

Meanwhile, it was all tied up at halftime, but Gowanda/Pine Valley Central weren't quite Wilson's equal in the second half when they met. Gowanda/Pine Valley Central and Wilson were almost perfectly matched up, but Gowanda/Pine Valley Central suffered an agonizing 6-7 defeat. This makes it the second defeat in a row for Gowanda/Pine Valley Central.

Maple Grove simply couldn't be stopped the last time the two teams met, as they easily beat Gowanda/Pine Valley Central 40-0.
