Basketball Recap: Bowie Puts Losing Streak Behind Them

Bowie lost to Red Oak back in December of 2022, but they didn't allow them the same satisfaction on Thursday. The Bowie Volunteers walked away with a 62-52 win over the Red Oak Hawks. The victory was some much needed relief for the Volunteers as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Bowie's win bumped their record up to 9-4. As for Red Oak, their record is now 6-6.

Bowie won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Cedar Hill at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. Cedar Hill knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five contests -- so hopefully Bowie likes a good challenge. As for Red Oak, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 71-46 victory against International Leadership of Texas Keller on the 12th.
