Olathe is 1-9 against North Fork since March of 2016 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Tuesday. The Pirates will look to defend their home field against the Miners at 2:00 p.m. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Olathe made up a huge gap compared to their last game against Rangely, but they still couldn't quite topple them. The Pirates were the clear victors by a 19-7 margin over the Panthers on Thursday. The high-scoring effort was just what the Pirates needed considering they were shut out in their previous contest.
Jack Combs looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.

At the plate, Olathe got a massive performance out of Jeyden Estrada, who scored four runs and stole a base while going 4-for-5. The Pirates are undefeated when Estrada posts two or more runs, but 4-6 otherwise. Bridger Vincent was another key player, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 3-for-5.
Olathe always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .683. The last time their OBP was this high was back in April of 2024.
Meanwhile, North Fork can bid farewell to their four-game losing streak thanks to their game on Friday. They never let Meeker get on the board and left with a 7-0 victory.
Payson Pene was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing two bases while going 2-for-3.
North Fork's win bumped their record up to 4-6. As for Olathe, their victory bumped their record up to 9-6.
North Fork's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Olathe hasn't had any issues making contact this season, having earned a batting average of .375. It's a different story for North Fork, though, as they've only averaged .233. Will they be able to contain Olathe's hitters?
Olathe came out on top in a nail-biter against North Fork in their previous matchup back in March, sneaking past 5-4. Will the Pirates repeat their success, or do the Miners have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
