Soccer Recap: Jefferson Gets the Win

After low-scoring totals in their previous four contest, Jefferson brought some dynamite into their most recent game. Their defense stepped up to hand the Douglas/Rapid City Christian Patriot Comets a 13-0 shutout on Saturday. Considering Jefferson's offense had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Jefferson's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-4. As for Douglas/Rapid City Christian, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 0-5.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Jefferson is set to square off against their familiar foe Washington at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Douglas/Rapid City Christian will challenge rival Rapid City Central at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
