After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Hamilton, Badin was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 7-1 margin over the Bishop Fenwick Falcons. Considering the Rams have won 14 games by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
Kendall P. made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, she didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only one hit while striking out seven over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with two stolen bases, one run, and one RBI.
In other pitching news, Phebe Kiefer looked comfortable as she pitched three innings while giving up just one earned run off two hits. She has been consistent for a while: she hasn't given up more than two walks in ten consecutive appearances.
Back at the plate, Mattie Canupp was incredible, going 3-for-4 with one home run, four RBI, and one stolen base. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Emily O'Brien, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one double.
Badin's victory bumped their record up to 18-5. As for Bishop Fenwick, their loss dropped their record down to 6-9.
