Basketball Recap: Calvary Academy Lions vs. Covenant Classical Cavaliers

Calvary Academy was the 58-46 winner over Covenant Classical when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Calvary Academy Lions took a 50-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Covenant Classical Cavaliers.

Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Covenant Classical to victory, but perhaps none more so than Ellis Mitchell, who posted 12 points along with eight boards and three steals. Elijah York was another key player, putting up 11 points.

Calvary Academy has traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-12 record this season. As for Covenant Classical, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 13-9.
