Basketball Game Preview: Lincoln Cardinals vs. Northwest Mustangs

The Lincoln Cardinals will face off against the Northwest Mustangs at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.

Lincoln is headed into the matchup having just suffered their biggest defeat since December 16, 2024 on Tuesday. They lost 51-30 to Jamestown.

Meanwhile, Northwest waltzed into their game on Tuesday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They were the clear victor by a 48-27 margin over the Tigers. Given the Mustangs' advantage in MaxPreps' Missouri basketball rankings (they are ranked 149th, while the Tigers are ranked 488th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Northwest's win bumped their record up to 14-2. As for Lincoln, their loss dropped their record down to 8-6.

Lincoln took a serious blow against Northwest in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, falling 64-14. Can Lincoln avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
