Softball Recap: Chicopee Comp Comes Up Short

If Chicopee Comp was feeling good fresh off their 25-9 takedown of Pathfinder RVT on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Colts lost 23-14 to the Ware Indians on Monday.

Arianna Bird made the most of her time in the batter's box despite the final result and went a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run. That triple was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Aleysha Ramos, who got on base in all three of her plate appearances with three runs.

Chicopee Comp's defeat dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Ware, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-2.

Looking ahead, Chicopee Comp will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against West Springfield at 4:00 p.m. The Terriers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 12.83 runs per game on average), something the Colts will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Ware, they will square off against Pathfinder RVT at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
