Recap: Sweetwater Wildcats vs. Roane County Yellowjackets
The Sweetwater Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their fifth straight loss. They took a 64-45 bruising from Roane County. Sweetwater has not had much luck with Roane County recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Despite the loss, Sweetwater saw an underclassman step up: Lilly Woodruff dropped a double-double on 21 points and 16 rebounds. That was a full 46.7% of Sweetwater's points, marking the fourth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Kendall Tyler, who scored ten points.
Sweetwater dropped their record down to 4-18 with that loss, which was their third straight on the road. As for Roane County, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season.
Sweetwater didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 50-47 victory vs. Fulton on the 9th. Roane County has also already played their next match, a 65-36 loss against Farragut on the 9th.
