Volleyball Recap: Tolono Unity Comes Up Short

Tolono Unity was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They fell 2-0 to the Waterloo Bulldogs. The Rockets were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Bulldogs apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in September of 2024.

Leading Waterloo to victory were Ellie Day and Ellie Zweigart. Day had seven aces and six assists, while Zweigart had seven digs and one assist. Those seven aces gave Day a new career-high.

Tolono Unity's loss dropped their record down to 9-7. As for Waterloo, the win (which was their seventh in a row) raised their record to 10-1.

Tolono Unity wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 2-0 defeat against Triad on the 20th. As for Waterloo, they have also already played their next contest, a 2-0 victory against Newton on the 20th.
