Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Kyra Parker and Janaya Cooper Lead Fort Wayne Snider to Victory

There's no place like home for Fort Wayne Snider, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They came out on top against the DeKalb Barons by a score of 55-48 on Tuesday. The Panthers have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Barons, too.

Fort Wayne Snider was led to victory by Janaya Cooper and Kyra Parker. Cooper went 5 for 8 en route to 14 points in addition to six boards and four steals, while Parker posted 15 points. Another player making a difference was Saniah Sandlin, who had five points and three steals.

Fort Wayne Snider now has a winning record of 11-10. As for DeKalb, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-8.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fort Wayne Snider will take on Carroll at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Carroll will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Fort Wayne Snider surely won't give up without a fight. As for DeKalb, they will host Huntington North at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. DeKalb is facing Huntington North at the right time seeing as Huntington North is stuck on a three-game losing streak.
