Preview: St. Regis Falls Saints vs. St. Lawrence Central Larries
The St. Regis Falls Saints will be staying on the road on Friday to face off against the St. Lawrence Central Larries at 7:15 p.m. on February 9th.
Last Wednesday, St. Regis Falls suffered a tough 71-48 loss at the hands of Colton-Pierrepont. St. Regis Falls has not had much luck with Colton-Pierrepont recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Meanwhile, St. Lawrence Central scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Parishville-Hopkinton 78-26 at home. St. Lawrence Central has made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won nine games by 21 points or more this season.
Ayden Beach was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 15 points and 14 rebounds. Beach is crushing the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. Austin Mason was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with nine rebounds and five assists.
St. Regis Falls' loss was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-9. As for St. Lawrence Central, their victory bumped their record up to 11-7.
St. Regis Falls might still be hurting after the 70-44 defeat they got from St. Lawrence Central in their previous meeting back in January. A big factor in that loss was the dominant performance of Beach, who dropped a triple-double on 31 points, 11 rebounds, and 12 steals.
