Volleyball Recap: South Central Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Gabby Mattison and Kaibryn Staton + How To Watch

South Central lost against Ayden - Grifton back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Monday. The Falcons came up short against the Chargers, falling 3-0.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-20, 25-17, 25-15.

Despite the defeat, South Central had strong showings from Kaibryn Staton, who had 12 digs, and Gabby Mattison, who had nine assists and eight digs.

Ayden - Grifton had a senior duo take command as Olivia Baker had nine digs and two aces and Kp Olejar had 12 digs and six assists. Baker has been hot, having also posted 12 or more assists the last six times she's played.

South Central has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-10 record this season. As for Ayden - Grifton, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 15 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season.

South Central has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 victory against White Oak on the 7th. As for Ayden - Grifton, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Tarboro on the 7th.
