Baseball Recap: Herriman Takes a Loss

Herriman lost against Corner Canyon on Wednesday, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. The Mustangs fell 6-3 to the Chargers. The Mustangs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Kayson Thomas was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base, one double, and one RBI.

Herriman's defeat dropped their record down to 8-8. As for Corner Canyon, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.

Herriman will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against Riverton at 3:30 p.m. As for Corner Canyon, they will head out on the road to take on Bingham at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Miners will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Chargers surely won't give up without a fight.
