Recap: Southeast Pirates vs. John F. Kennedy Catholic Eagles
The Southeast Pirates's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Wednesday after their fourth straight defeat. They were outmatched by John F. Kennedy Catholic at home and fell 71-42. The game was over by the end of the first half, with no points scored by either team from that point forward.
John F. Kennedy Catholic's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Addy Odille, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 13 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Odille has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Gianna Pompelia, who scored 26 points along with two steals.
Southeast has traveled a rocky road recently having lost 12 of their last 14 matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-12 record this season. As for John F. Kennedy Catholic, their victory bumped their record up to 14-5.
Southeast will head out on the road to face off against Garfield Community Learning Center at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Kennedy Catholic, they will be playing at home against Cleveland Central Catholic at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
