Baseball Recap: Hendersonville Comes Up Short

Hendersonville came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 10-0 to the R-S Central Hilltoppers. Considering the last time the Bearcats couldn't score was back in March, the team can't take the result too hard.

Hendersonville saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Martiste Mills, who went 1-for-2 with one stolen base. Mills is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged at least one in each of the last three games he's played.

Hendersonville dropped their record down to 5-9 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for R-S Central, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season.

While Hendersonville had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:00 p.m. on Friday.
