Baseball Game Preview: Malone Tigers vs. Pensacola Tigers

Malone will challenge Pensacola at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Malone has given up an average of 8.2 runs per game this season, but Friday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Malone is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 15 runs on Tuesday, they were much more limited against North Bay Haven Academy on Wednesday. They lost 11-1 to the Buccaneers.

Malone saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hoke Harkrider, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Pensacola played against Crossroad Academy on Wednesday and won via forfeit.

The win was the fourth in a row for Pensacola, bringing their record up to 11-9. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for Malone, their defeat ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 8-11.
