Basketball Game Preview: Conway Bears vs. Sparta Trojans

Conway hasn't had much luck against Sparta recently, but that could start to change on Monday. The Conway Bears will welcome the Sparta Trojans at 6:00 p.m. Conway has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.

Last Thursday, Conway lost to Climax Springs on the road by a 44-30 margin.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Sparta). They enjoyed a cozy 77-58 victory over Mansfield on Friday. The win was familiar territory for the Trojans who have now won three contests in a row.

Sparta pushed their record up to 12-8 with the victory, which was their fifth straight on the road. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.4 points over those games. As for Conway, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-15.

Conway was dealt a bruising 52-25 loss at the hands of Sparta in their previous matchup back in February of 2024. Can Conway avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
