 Mound-Westonka gave up the first  runs on Friday, but they didn't let that get them  down. They walked away with  a   5-2  victory over the DeLaSalle Islanders. For Mound-Westonka, this counts as revenge for the   7-5 loss DeLaSalle walked away with the last time they faced one another  back in May of 2022.
  Isaiah Walker made a big impact no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound,   not allowing a single  earned run and  only two  hits while striking out 11 over seven innings pitched. Walker has been consistent recently: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in four consecutive pitching appearances. Walker was also solid in the batter's box,  going 2-for-4 with two  RBI.
 Walker wasn't  the only one making solid contact as  four players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was  Cole Munstertiger, who  scored a  run while going 2-for-3.  Jack Nelson was another key contributor,  scoring a  run while going 1-for-3.
 Mound-Westonka's win bumped their record up to 13-9. As for DeLaSalle, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-8.
 As of now, neither Mound-Westonka nor DeLaSalle have any future games scheduled.
