Volleyball Recap: North Gaston Comes Up Short + How To Watch

North Gaston was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 3-1 to the Cherryville Ironmen. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Ironmen this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in August.

The match finished with set scores of 25-14, 19-25, 25-11, 25-22.

Among those leading the charge was Kate Bookout, who had five aces and three digs. Those five aces gave her a new career-high.

North Gaston's defeat dropped their record down to 3-18. As for Cherryville, they are on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record this season.

North Gaston will welcome Forestview at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cherryville, they are taking a road trip to face off against Bessemer City at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
