CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. - After five lead changes,
Independence (Thompson's Station, Tenn.) took the lead for good when
Andrew Bunch threw a touchdown to
RaShaan Gaulden with 11:00 to go in the fourth quarter and held on to defeat
Rossview (Clarksville, Tenn.) 35-25 on Saturday.
The Hawks pulled ahead on a safety, and subsequently went into halftime leading 16-14. The Eagles took the lead to win the game on an Bunch touchdown pass to Gaulden in the fourth quarter.
Despite scoring seven points in the third, Independence still trailed by two points going into the fourth quarter. But 14 points in the fourth helped IHS pull out the victory.
The defeat comes as a step back for Rossview, which notched a 56-0 victory over Northwest in its previous outing.
