It was a proper cat-fight when Cincinnati College Prep Academy took on KIPP Columbus on Friday. The Lions walked away with a 38-30 victory over the Jaguars. The Lions' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

When it comes to explaining why KIPP Columbus lost, don't look at Tim Gladney. Despite the final result, he rushed for 96 yards and one touchdown on only 11 carries, and also threw for 141 yards and a pair of TDs. Gladney's longest rush was for an impressive 53 yards, which helps to explain his lofty yards per carry total. Mikechale Earnest got in on the action as well, converting a pick into a touchdown.

Cincinnati College Prep Academy pushed their record up to 4-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 30.0 points over those games. As for KIPP Columbus, they are on a 13-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-6.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming matchups. Cincinnati College Prep Academy will face off against Dayton Christian at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Lions will need to watch out since the WARRIORS have now posted at least 31 points in their last four contests. As for KIPP Columbus, they will square off against Dawson-Bryant at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
