Volleyball Recap: Fontana Steelers vs. Hesperia Scorpions
Fontana lost against Hesperia back in August of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Steelers lost 3-0 to the Scorpions. The Steelers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-14, 25-9, 25-6.
Hesperia found their leader in sophomore Dylanna Akwaboah, who had four digs, four aces, and one block. Those four aces set a new season-high mark for Akwaboah. The team also got some help courtesy of Dalilah Sari, who had four aces and three digs.
Fontana now has a losing record of 3-4. As for Hesperia, the win keeps them at an undefeated 6-0.
Coming up, Fontana will head out on the road to challenge San Bernardino at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hesperia, they will welcome Jurupa Hills at 5:15 p.m. on Thursday.
