Oblong won the last time they faced Cumberland and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Panthers walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Pirates. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Panthers.

While Oblong won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the first set they played. The final score came out to 25-22, 25-18.

Macy Krick paced Oblong's offense, picking up six kills. Krick got some help from Ella Jenkins and her nine assists. Krick was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Oblong's win bumped their record up to 2-0.

Looking ahead, Oblong will take on Carmi-White County in a tournament on Saturday. As for Cumberland, they will take on North Clay/Clay City at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. This will be the Pirates' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
