Damascus entered their tilt with Southern on Wednesday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They were the clear victors by an 11-1 margin over the Bulldogs. The result was nothing new for the Hornets, who have now won five contests by ten runs or more so far this season.

Damascus got a great performance from Will Heyse as he tossed five innings while giving up just one earned run off three hits. Heyse has been consistent recently: he hasn't given up more than one earned run in four consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Raffaele Iorio was a standout: he went 2-for-5 with one home run, two runs, and one stolen base. Another player making a difference was Cam Wilberding, who got on base in three of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI.

Damascus' victory bumped their record up to 9-2. As for Southern, their loss was their ninth straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-9.

Damascus has already played their next matchup, a 9-3 win against Wootton on the 22nd. Southern has also already played their next game (against Broadneck), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
