Baseball Recap: La Salle Triumphs

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against St. Paul, La Salle was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They walked away with a 6-3 win over the Paraclete Spirits. The victory continues a trend for the Lancers in their matchups with the Spirits: they've now won three in a row.

Andrew Luna was a major factor no matter where he played. He pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. Luna was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-3. Those two hits gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Aidan Gray was excellent, going 1-for-4 with three RBI and one triple. Those three RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Drew Ward, who scored two runs while going 1-for-3.

La Salle's win bumped their record up to 8-4. As for Paraclete, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost eight of their last nine games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.

La Salle will have a chance to go back-to-back against Paraclete: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 3:00 p.m. on Friday.
