Gulf Shores entered their tilt with Orange Beach on Saturday with four consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with five. They walked away with a 2-0 win over the Makos. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 2-0 last Thursday.

Macey Moore paced Gulf Shores' offense, picking up eight kills. Moore got some help from Velmira Sobol and her 11 assists. Rylee Deal controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Gulf Shores' victory bumped their record up to 19-5. As for Orange Beach, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost seven of their last nine matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-11 record this season.

Gulf Shores didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 2-1 win against Daphne on the 13th. As for Orange Beach, they will be taking part in a tournament against Satsuma at 5:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
