Harker had to skate by with only a two-run margin when they last took the field, which might have inspired the seven-run drubbing they dealt Jefferson on Tuesday. The Eagles were the clear victors by a 7-0 margin over the Grizzlies. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won seven games by seven runs or more so far this season.

The result came thanks to Vidwat Shekar's shutout, as he gave up just three hits and racked up seven Ks.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Mason Brooks, who went 1-for-3 with two runs, one stolen base, and one double. Harker is undefeated when Brooks posts two or more runs, but 6-8 otherwise. Austin Zhao was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Harker has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 10-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.5 runs on average over those games. As for Jefferson, their defeat was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-19.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Harker beat the Grizzlies by a score of 17-0 on Thursday.
