Baseball Game Preview: Sulphur Bulldogs vs. Newcastle Racers

For the second straight game, Sulphur will face off against Newcastle. The Bulldogs will be playing at home against the Racers at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Sulphur has a tough task ahead: they'll enter the matchup with four straight losses, while Newcastle will come in with six straight victories.

Sulphur is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to ten runs on Thursday, they were much more limited against Newcastle on Monday. They lost 14-2 to the Racers.

For Newcastle's part, they got a massive performance out of Tyler Frazier, who fired off two home runs, six RBI, and three runs while going 2-for-3. Those six RBI gave Frazier a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Taj Smith, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs.

They weren't the only ones working in the home run department: Newcastle lost a few balls and finished the game with three home runs. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Sulphur didn't launched any home runs.

Newcastle's win was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 20-2. The home victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.4 runs over those games. As for Sulphur, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-9.
