Eau Gallie had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 7.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Monday. They came out on top against the Wheaton Academy Warriors by a score of 6-1.

Eau Gallie got a great performance from Chase McBrearty as he tossed five innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit.

At the plate, Carson Lietz was incredible, going 1-for-2 with one home run and two RBI. That's the most RBI he has posted over his last 12 matchups. The team also got some help courtesy of Nick Cunningham, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-1.

Eau Gallie's win was their seventh straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-5. The victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 0.9 runs on average over those games. As for Wheaton Academy, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-3.
