Brackenridge piles up the points against Edison

A well-balanced attack led the Brackenridge Eagles over the Edison Golden Bears in every quarter on their way to victory on Tuesday. Given that consistent dominance, it should come as no surprise that Brackenridge blew the Golden Bears out of the water with a 64-36 final score. The contest was all but wrapped up at the end of the third, by which point Brackenridge had established a 27 point advantage.

Brackenridge got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Alasia Brown out in front who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 rebounds. Brown hasn't dropped below 15 points for 16 straight games. Another player making a difference was Sarah Arriaga, who scored 16 points along with eight rebounds.

Brackenridge is on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last ten matches, which provided a nice bump to their 18-14 record this season. As for Edison, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 10-22.

Brackenridge will be playing in front of their home fans against the Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. The squads are rolling into the game with opposing streaks: Jefferson has struggled recently with 17 losses in a row, while the Eagles will arrive with three straight wins. As for Edison, they will head out on the road to face off against the Hurricanes at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Sam Houston presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than the Golden Bears in Texas (the Hurricanes are ranked 460th, while the Golden Bears are ranked 1012th).
