Basketball Recap: Thunder Ridge Longhorns vs. Lakeside Knights
Thunder Ridge lost against Lakeside back in December of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Thunder Ridge Longhorns fell 49-37 to the Lakeside Knights. While losing is never fun, the Longhorns can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 220th, while the Knights are ranked 85th).
When it comes to explaining why Thunder Ridge lost, don't look at Evan Slavik. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 12 points and ten boards. Slavik is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as he's now pulled down ten or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Declan Tweedy, who posted eight points in addition to eight boards and three steals.
