Basketball Recap: De Beque Beats Lone Star for Their Third Straight Victory

With a playoff win on the line, De Beque rose to the challenge on Friday. They snuck past the Lone Star Longhorns with a 60-54 win. The victory was nothing new for the Dragons as they're now sitting on three straight.

Lone Star's loss came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Peytyn Kuntz, who shot 40% from the field on her way to 27 points. The dominant performance gave Kuntz a new career-high in points. Another player making a difference was Jade Kuntz, who posted six points in addition to 12 assists and six boards.

De Beque's win bumped their record up to 17-6. As for Lone Star, with the defeat, they broke their three-game winning streak and moved their record to 12-11.

De Beque wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 40-32 loss against Hi-Plains on the 8th. Lone Star does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
