Clear Brook had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 4.8 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Saturday. They never let the South Houston Trojans get on the board and left with an 11-0 win. The Wolverines' hitters stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most runs they've scored all season.

Clarissa Pina made a big impact no matter where she played. She kept things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out six over four innings pitched. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 2-for-2 with two RBI and one run.

In other batting news, Ahiza Garcia was incredible, going 2-for-3 with four RBI, one run, and one double. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in March of 2025. Another player making a difference was Aubrey Cedillo, who got on base in both of her plate appearances with two runs and one stolen base.

Clear Brook was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .400. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .346 or higher in four consecutive games.

Clear Brook's victory bumped their record up to 7-5. As for South Houston, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-5.

Looking ahead, Clear Brook will take on Episcopal at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for South Houston, they will face off against Cesar E. Chavez at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday.
