Basketball Game Preview: Calvin Christian Crusaders vs. Orange Glen Patriots

The Calvin Christian Crusaders will challenge the Orange Glen Patriots at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Calvin Christian will be strutting in after a victory while Orange Glen will be coming in after a defeat.

Having struggled with four losses in a row, Calvin Christian turned things around against Classical Academy on Thursday. They came out on top against the Caimans by a score of 48-41.

Calvin Christian's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Caleb Lapka led the charge by dropping a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. Sawyer Goggin was another key player, putting up 16 points and eight boards.

Meanwhile, Orange Glen was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 23rd straight defeat dating back to last season. They fell 63-50 to San Diego Jewish Academy. One positive for the Patriots, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

The win got Calvin Christian back to even at 7-7. As for Orange Glen, their loss dropped their record down to 0-21.

Calvin Christian strolled past Orange Glen in their previous meeting back in February of 2024 by a score of 55-36. Does Calvin Christian have another victory up their sleeve, or will Orange Glen turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
