Baseball Recap: Mountain Crest Takes Down Sky View in a Playoff Battle

Mountain Crest extended their postseason success on Saturday against Sky View. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 5-3 win over the Bobcats. Winning may never get old, but the Mustangs sure are getting used to it with their third in a row.

Ben Welch tossed a big game, tossing five innings while giving up just one earned run off four hits.

On the hitting side, Mountain Crest got a big performance out of Ethan Nielsen, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with three RBI and one double. Those three RBI gave Nielsen a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Zyan Foulger, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two runs and one RBI.

Mountain Crest's record is now 17-7. As for Sky View, they have been struggling recently as they've lost 12 of their last 13 matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-18 record this season.

As of now, neither Mountain Crest nor Sky View have any future games scheduled.
