Basketball Recap: Lima Christian Comes Up Short

Lima Christian lost against Finney back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Lima Christian Saints were beaten by the Finney Falcons 73-30. The Saints were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-7.

Despite the loss, Lima Christian still got an impressive performance from Alyssa Marsh, who dropped a double-double on 22 points and 13 rebounds. Marsh's afternoon made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Lily Swan, who posted two points and nine rebounds.

Lima Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for Finney, the win was the eighth in a row (dating back to last season) for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.

Lima Christian didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 62-41 victory against Eugenio Maria de Hostos Charter on the 19th. As for Finney, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Harley Allendale Columbia at 7:30 p.m. on January 22, 2025.
