South Beloit dropped their record down to 11-5 on Saturday, which also ended the team's five-game streak of wins. They lost 7-0 to the Parkview Vikings. The Sobos were red-hot at the plate heading into the game (they scored no less than ten runs in the five matches prior), but the Vikings' pitchers proved too tough.

South Beloit saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was JT Sanders, who went 1-for-3 with one stolen base.

As for Parkview, they moved to 2-9 with that victory, which also ended their seven-game losing streak. They not only won on Saturday, but they posted their biggest win since May 9, 2024 (when they won 16-2).

On Parkview's side, the result came thanks to Christrian Hobon's shutout, as he gave up just six hits and racked up seven Ks.

On the hitting side, Louis Nath was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two stolen bases, two RBI, and one run. Ryker Buster also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen bases of the season.

While South Beloit had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair will be back at it again later today.
