Softball Recap: McNary Comes Up Short

McNary was the 6-2 winner over Forest Grove when they last played one another last Tuesday, but their luck changed this time around. The Celtics fell just short of the Vikings by a score of 6-4 on Friday. That's two games in a row now that the Celtics have lost by exactly two runs.

This is the second loss in a row for McNary and nudges their season record down to 5-2. Even worse, they were so close both times: the losses came by an average of only two runs. As for Forest Grove, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-2.

Looking ahead, McNary is taking a road trip to face off against Ridgeview at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Forest Grove, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Jesuit at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
