Jayden Richardson Turns in Season-Best Effort

Marion County was led to victory by Jayden Richardson, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Richardson rushed for 106 yards and two touchdowns on only eight carries. The performance marked the most rushing yards he has had since back in October of 2023. He also put in work on the defensive side of the ball, forcing a fumble and making seven total tackles in addition to snagging an interception.

If the past is any indication, Richardson could be in store for another big game when he takes on Chattahoochee County on Friday. Back in October of 2023 (the last time Richardson saw the Panthers), he rushed for 161 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries.

Schley County took down Taylor County on Friday, a win that might not have happened without Zayden Walker's performance. Walker was unstoppable, picking up 42 receiving yards and a touchdown, while also punching in a touchdown on the ground.

The victory got Schley County back to even at 4-4. Walker and Schley County will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Central at 6:30 p.m. on October 18th.
