Baseball Recap: Page Takes a Loss

Page fought the good fight in their extra-innings match against Southwest Guilford on Tuesday but wound up with a less-than-desirable result. They fell just short of the Cowboys by a score of 4-3. The Pirates just can't catch a break and have now endured eight losses in a row.

Jordan Kirk was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he didn't allow a single earned run over seven innings pitched.

On the hitting side, Page saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was John Grieco, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Page's defeat dropped their record down to 6-17. As for Southwest Guilford, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 15-9.

Page didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next contest, a 3-1 loss against Salisbury on the 1st. As for Southwest Guilford, they also wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 1-0 defeat against Ragsdale on the 1st.
