St. John XXIII was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a 47-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Brazos Christian Eagles. One positive for the Lions, at least, is that this was the most points they've scored all season.

St. John XXIII's loss dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Brazos Christian, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 7-2.

St. John XXIII will host Lutheran South Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Brazos Christian, they will head out on the road to take on Round Top-Carmine at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Brazos Christian has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games.
