Softball Recap: Van Buren County Find Success

Van Buren County hadn't done well against Cardinal recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Wednesday. The Warriors came out on top in a nail-biter against the Comets, sneaking past 4-3. For the Warriors, this counts as revenge for the 4-0 win the Comets walked away with the last time they faced one another back in June of 2024.

The victory made it two in a row for Van Buren County and bumps their season record up to 3-5. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 1.5 runs across that stretch. As for Cardinal, their loss was their fourth straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-7.

Van Buren County wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next match, a 5-4 defeat against Central Lee on the 12th. As for Cardinal, they have also already played their next contest, a 9-6 win against Davis County on the 12th.
