Tate is 8-2 against Escambia since April of 2018 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Wednesday. The Aggies will square off against the Gators at 6:30 p.m. Tate will aim to continue their three-game streak of scoring more runs each match than the last.
On Tuesday, Tate was able to grind out a solid win over Sayre, taking the game 7-2.

Zane Warrington tossed a big game, striking out 12 batters over six innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off five hits (and only one walk). Those 12 strikeouts gave him a new career-high.
At the plate, Taite Davis was incredible, going 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. That's the most runs he has posted since back in March. Kaden Posta was another key player, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-5.
Tate lost a few balls and finished the game with two home runs. That's the most home runs they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Escambia waltzed into their game on Tuesday with six straight wins... but they left with seven. They walked away with a 5-2 victory over the Crusaders.
The team relied heavily on Marcus Days, who scored two runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.
Escambia's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 18-5. Those home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.0 runs on average over those games. As for Tate, their record now sits at 14-9.
The batters for both teams will have to hit smart on Wednesday as both have some strikeout artists on the roster. Tate has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.8 strikeouts per game. However, it's not like Escambia struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 8.8 strikeouts. Considering how easily both teams rack up Ks, the hitters on both teams better bring their A-game into this one.
Everything went Tate's way against Escambia in their previous matchup back in March, as Tate made off with an 8-2 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Aggies since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
