Volleyball Recap: Desert Hills Makes It Five in a Row at Home

While Desert Hills didn't have the best season last year (they finished 10-17), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past. They put the hurt on the Dixie Flyers with a sharp 3-0 victory on Thursday. The win continues a trend for the Thunder in their matchups with the Flyers: they've now won three in a row.

While Desert Hills won a shutout, things came down to the wire in the second set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 28-26, 25-17.

Their offense was headlined by Aidan Lee and Brodie Hoag, who picked up eight kills apiece. They got some help from Jordan Schudde and his 24 assists. Hoag was also solid from the service line: he led the team with two aces.

Desert Hills didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-0 win against North Sanpete on the 21st. As for Dixie, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Cedar at 7:00 p.m.
