It was a good run, but Midlothian unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Saturday. They lost 60-40 to the Manor Mustangs. The loss was a bit of a surprise, as the Panthers came into the match with a sizable advantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 215th, while the Mustangs are ranked 533rd).

Midlothian's defeat dropped their record down to 13-9. As for Manor, their win bumped their record up to 12-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought when the Midlothian Panthers challenge the Corsicana Tigers at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Manor, they will challenge Vandegrift at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
