Riley High made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out nine over five innings pitched. Those nine strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also big at the plate, scoring two runs while getting on base in all four of her plate appearances.
In other batting news, Currituck County let Amelia Cervantes and Victoria Jones run wild. Cervantes scored four runs and stole two bases while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances, while Jones went 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base.
