Preview: Peck vs. Owendale-Gagetown
Peck will look to defend their home turf on Friday against Owendale-Gagetown at 7:00 PM. It might come down to the wire as the MaxPreps national rankings project a close contest.
Even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Peck beat All Saints Central 32-26 last Thursday. Peck's success was spearheaded by the efforts of freshman Nathan Robar, who rushed for 187 yards and 2 touchdowns, and senior Cody Babcock, who rushed for 172 yards and 2 touchdowns.
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 0-40, which was the final score in Owendale-Gagetown's tilt against Genesee.
Peck's win lifted them to 1-1 while Owendale-Gagetown's defeat dropped them down to 1-1. We'll see if Peck's success rolls on or if Owendale-Gagetown are able to steal their positive momentum.
