Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Conway Springs). They blew past the Douglass Bulldogs 16-9 on Monday. The Cardinals haven't had any issues with the Bulldogs recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

Reece Johnson was a standout: she scored two runs while getting on base in four of her five plate appearances. Another player making a difference was Regan May, who scored three runs and stole two bases while going 1-for-4.

The win got Conway Springs back to even at 2-2. As for Douglass, they are on a 19-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-7.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: Conway Springs beat the Bulldogs by a score of 12-1 later that day.
